The ring pit method of sugarcane planting increases yields by 30-40% compared to traditional furrow planting. MMS Ring Pit Machines make this advanced technique accessible to every farmer.
Traditional furrow planting of sugarcane leads to water wastage, poor ratoon management, and lower yields. Manual ring pit digging is extremely labor-intensive, requiring 50-60 man-days per hectare, making adoption impractical for most farmers.
MMS Ring Pit Machines create perfect circular pits in seconds. One machine can prepare 1 hectare in just 8-10 hours, replacing the work of 50+ laborers. The consistent pit dimensions ensure uniform crop growth and excellent ratoon performance.
Ring pit method consistently produces higher yields than traditional furrow planting.
Circular pits retain water better, reducing irrigation requirements significantly.
Strong root development leads to excellent ratoon performance for 3-4 cycles.
One machine replaces 50+ laborers for pit digging work.
Work easily with our equipment
Plow and level the field. Mark pit positions in a grid pattern (2m x 2m spacing recommended).
Attach the ring pit machine to your tractor (35-45 HP). Adjust depth settings based on soil type.
Position over marked spots and operate the machine to dig circular pits (75cm diameter, 30-45cm depth). Each pit takes 15-20 seconds.
Add FYM, compost, and basal fertilizer dose to pits. Mix with soil before planting.
Place 3-4 setts in each pit in circular arrangement. Cover with 5-7cm soil. Water immediately.
Earthing up after 60 and 90 days. Proper irrigation in pit basins for water efficiency.
Savings with MMS equipment compared to manual methods
| Factor | With MMS Equipment | Manual Method |
|---|---|---|
| Pits per day | 2000-2500 | 100-150 |
| Labor for 1 hectare | 1 operator, 1 day | 50-60 man-days |
| Yield increase | +30-40% | Baseline (furrow) |
| Water savings | 40% less irrigation | Baseline |
